Tomasz Mironczuk

President of the Board
Tomasz Mironczuk is an expert focused on research on interest rates in the financial benchmark sector. As a former market participant he has a long career in a wide range of Polish banks and valuable experience in the money markets. From 2012 to 2014 he was the President of the Management Board, CEO at the Bank Polskiej Spoldzielczosci. Previously, until 2011 he was the President of the Management Board, CEO at BGK (Bank Gospodarstwa Krajowego, a state development bank).

Debt capital markets, liquidity risk management and interest rate risk management, operational framework/infrastructure for bank treasury operations, mid- and back office operations, interest rate indices are amongst his key professional fields of interest. In addition, since 2012 he initiated and has been running the SMRP system (Money Market Monitoring System) which is a statistical reporting format similar to the ECB’s Money Markets Statistical Reporting (MMSR) Regulation being leveraged for the Euribor+ project.

Piotr Mielus, PhD

Professor at SGH Warsaw School of Economics. Co-creator of the Polish derivatives market. Active in the financial market since 1996 as FX dealer and FX options market maker in The Polish Development Bank, head of foreign exchange and Deputy Director of the Financial Markets Department in mBank, head of trading and Director of Markets and Financial Institutions in Bank BPH, Head of Financial Institutions and Advisor to the CEO in PKO Bank Polski.

Since 2012 cooperating with Gdansk Institute for Market Economics on the Money Market Monitoring System. Member of the Reference Rates Council in 2013-2015. Member of ACI Poland, co-author of the Polish version of the International Code of Conduct and Practice of the Financial Markets. The author of numerous research articles and two books: "Currency options market in Poland" and "Market making on OTC financial markets".

Marta Penczar, PhD

A graduate of Enterprise Economics at the Faculty of Management of the University of Gdansk and Postgraduate Investment Banking Studies at the University of Gdańsk and the Gdansk Academy of Banking. Since 1998, she has been associated with the Gdańsk Institute for Market Economics, in which she is currently the Director of the research area "Banking and Financial Markets". Since 2011, an adjunct at the Department of Banking and Finance of the Faculty of Management at the University of Gdańsk.

Author and co-author of numerous scientific and journalistic publications as well as research projects in the field of banking.

Since 2014, she has been a member of the Money Market Monitoring System (SMRP) team, which is dealing with the organization and operation of the SMRP.

Mirosław Wilkołek

Mirosław Wilkołek graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the Maria Curie-Skłodowska University in Lublin in 1986 and University of Illinois (EMBA). He gained professional experience working for over 20 years in several banks and areas, including treasury, planning and budgeting, strategic planning, risk and capital management of the bank, profitability measurement and controlling, as well as corporate governance. He started professional carrier in National Bank of Poland in 1986.

Mirosław organized the Treasury Department at the Deposit and Credit Bank in Lublin S.A. and he was his first Director for 5 years. He was also the Director of the Treasury Department at Rheinhyp BRE Bank Hipoteczny (1998–2000) and at Kredyt Bank (2000–2002).Worked also in Bank BPH S.A. where he was dealing with budgeting, performance measurement and capital adequacy in the banking activity.

He participated in the creation of the mortgage bond market in Poland and was the leader of the interbank mortgage bond work group (1998-2000). Mirosław knows very well the mechanisms of the interbank market in Poland and most of the financial instruments used to manage risk in the bank.

He conducted a number of trainings in the field of testing and measuring the effectiveness of banking activities and operations, the profitability of banking products, as well as capital adequacy.

Adam Jaroszyński, PhD

Adam Jaroszyński has spent almost three decades working on numerous technological, operational and financial projects with top Polish and international corporates and financial institutions. He is an experienced manager and business systems analyst, graduated from Herzing Institute (Toronto) and the Adam Mickiewicz University (Poznań). Adam held various menagerial positions with Polish banks.

For many years he was responsible for the cash management area at BRE Bank (presently mBank), with a successful track record of managing product development and providing tailored solutions for customers (incl. setting up operational processes, providing legal framework and IT deliverables).

He was also the Director of the Electronic Banking Departament at Bank Polskiej Spoldzielczosci and the Cash Management Project Director at PKP S.A. Group (the Polish State Railways)

Adam was a speaker at numerous domestic and international conferences and seminars concerning payment industry and financial services. He was also a lecturer at the SGH Warsaw School of Economics and Collegium Civitas.

For 10 years he was a member of the Cash Management Council at The Polish Bank Association (ZBP).

Krzysztof Gacek

Krzysztof Gacek has spent 15 years working for various financial institutions, including those contributing to the stability of the national financial system and for commercial banks.

At Narodowy Bank Polski (the National Bank of Poland) he worked directly with the Management Board and the members of the Monetary Policy Council. He was managing the Education and Publishing Department (2003-2007).
Krzysztof was also the Director of the Office of the President of the Bank Guarantee Fund (2009-2013).
He also held managerial positions at banks: PKO BP and BGŻ.

He has had the opportunity to gain professional experience in state institutions, incl. : Chancellery of the Prime Minister (as the Deputy Director of the Government Information Center) and the Supreme Audit Office.

At PKP S.A. (the Polish State Railways) he was the Head of the Union of the Railway Employers.
Krzysztof is a graduate from The Catholic University of Lublin and WSB University in Poznań.
